Cooke is the five-time consecutive winner of the Eisner Award for his magazine, COMIC BOOK ARTIST (for which he also won a coveted Harvey Award), as well as an award-winning documentary film writer and producer (Will Eisner: Portrait of a Sequential Artist). In his 25-year career as a comics historian, Cooke has interviewed hundreds of professionals, edited and designed over sixty magazines, authored, edited, co-edited, and designed dozens of books, as well as designed innumerable more publications. His dual career is being an art director/graphic designer in advertising and marketing.
