JOURNEY TO WAKANDA: THE LIFE and LEGACY of CHADWICK BOSEMAN Black Panther & Beyond details every aspect of Chadwick Boseman's life from his birth to his death.

Before Chadwick Boseman gained worldwide notoriety and recognition for playing T'Challa, the King of the fictional African nation Wakanda, he was known around Hollywood for being the go-to man for a biopic. Boseman was best known for his portrayal of Jackie Robinson in 42, James Brown in Get on Up, and Thurgood Marshall in Marshall. The Howard University graduate became a growing household name, by successfully breaking into the Marvel Cinematic Universe to be the first black actor to play a lead role in a superhero movie while being a source of inspiration for African American children and children worldwide.

After years of acting in one biopic after another, Chadwick Boseman's role as Black Panther in the "Avengers" films and the 2018 eponymous blockbuster, Black Panther, the ninth highest-grossing movie of all time, established him as the rare breed of actor with star power. In the 2019 Golden Globe Awards, "Black Panther" ended up taking home the award for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture as well as Outstanding Action Performance by a Stunt Ensemble in a Motion Picture.

Chadwick Boseman became an international superstar after playing T'Challa in 2018's Black Panther, and he allowed so many young people to finally see themselves in a Marvel superhero movie. Not only did he film the strenuous movie while disabled, but Boseman also continued to show up to press events and interact with fans, despite the physical demands of his cancer diagnosis. Wakanda Forever isn't going to forget Chadwick Boseman any more than the rest of the MCU and the fans will. On August 29, 2020, the day after Boseman died, the tweet in which his family announced his death on his Twitter account became the most-liked tweet in history, with over six million likes in under 24 hours, and accumulating over seven million by August 31.
