About the Author
Cristina Tzintzún Ramirez is a Latina mom and proud immigrant daughter. She has spent the last twenty years working in the Latino community helping protect immigrant workers' rights and mobilizing thousands of Latino voters. Cristina knows how important it is for young Latino kids to have great role models and see their stories told.

Yocelyn Riojas is a Mexican American illustrator, artist, and designer. She was born in Piedras Negras, Coahuila, and raised across the border in Eagle Pass, Texas. She was influenced by her parents, who grew up as migrant workers and now serve as attorneys helping farm-workers and asylum seekers.
