Is there a 100-pound semi-aquatic South American rodent in your kitchen?

I am Dobby the Capybara, I live in the suburbs, and this is my story. Royalty is automatic among the world's largest rodents, but I am The Prince. Read the highly opinionated record of my downfall from pampered pet to grubby, corn-obsessed middle age.

This isn't "How to Capybara" anything, and the facts are a little bit mixed up. If you are interested in wild capybaras, don't look here I can tell you what's in my refrigerator, though, and where the off-limits birdseed is. I also discuss visitor expectations, explain discreet coprophagy techniques, and offer advice on forays into forbidden parts of the house. Grab a highlighter and take notes in case there is a poop quiz

About the Author
Winnick, Stacy: - Stacy Winnick, the Farm Manager, has been wrangling rodents since 1952. Beginning with hamsters and working her way up, her relationship with Dobby became complicated in 2009. Stacy has been an integral member of the obscure capybara community since Dobby first marked her oriental carpets. As Vice President of the ROUS Foundation, her dubious advice is sought by capybara owners worldwide. She has observed wild capybaras in Panama and Brazil. At home, she can be found wandering aimlessly among her admirers, mostly ducks and hens.Reasor, Sonya: - Sonya Reasor has been drawing Dobby forever. She has photographed every inch of her garden and cat, exploring the outdoors if the rain stops long enough. She asked me not to divulge her passion for skulls, or mention her dodgy collection. In real life, she works as a graphic designer and illustrator.
