Alexander, Mardi: - Mardi lives on a farm high up on the mountain tablelands of the Great Dividing Range in New South Wales, along with her partner, a myriad of cats and dogs, and the prerequisite farm animals. Her greatest frustration remains that neither she nor anyone else has been able to create the perfect water pump that never breaks down. Originating from the Mid North Coast of Australia, with big rivers, sun, surf, and sand all within reach, Mardi still counts among her greatest loves watching storms out to sea and sitting on a rock wall, fishing and watching the world go by. When not working full-time, Mardi is also a firefighter, a firefighting instructor, and a member of a local wildlife rescue service looking after orphaned, sick, and injured native Australian animals.
